The new agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between Ford Trucks and TJA that began in 2020. More than 740 Ford Trucks vehicles are already associated with TJA’s operations, including F-MAX tractors and 1833DC rigid trucks serving a range of operational requirements.
The latest fleet agreement represents an important milestone for Ford Trucks in Portugal and across Europe. It reflects the confidence of a major international transport operator in the Ford Trucks product and service offering, while contributing to the brand’s continued growth and positioning in the European heavy-duty vehicle segment.

The new F-MAX represents a significant refinement within the Ford Trucks product range. Developed to meet the requirements of long-haul and international transport operations, it brings together improvements in efficiency, comfort, safety, technology and overall user experience.
Powered by the Ecotorq GEN2 engine, the new F-MAX offers fuel savings of up to 11.3 per cent, together with the performance, durability and efficiency required for demanding commercial operations. Its updated cabin, digital technologies, and driver-focused features are designed to enhance comfort and support operational efficiency on long-distance routes.
A partnership shaped by real-world international operations
TJA’s fleet scale, operational discipline, and daily use of Ford Trucks vehicles under real international transport conditions have enabled the collection of valuable operational feedback. This experience has supported the continued development of the product, service offering and after-sales processes.
The addition of 115 new F-MAX trucks to TJA’s fleet will further strengthen the visibility of Ford Trucks on European transport routes. The agreement also supports Ford Trucks’ wider European strategy by combining product competitiveness, close customer relationships and operational feedback from one of the region’s major transport operators.
