For Ford Trucks connected vehicles from 12 September 2025 onwards, the EU Data Act gives you the right to access the data generated through your use of our connected products and related services, and to share that data with third parties of your choice. Learn more about our connected products and services, the data they generate, and how you can access and share this data securely.
Keep in Mind

You have rights under the Data Act if you are in the EU and you own a connected vehicle and subscribe for ConnecTruck services.

If you meet these conditions, the Data Act provides two key rights regarding data from your vehicle:

  • Access: You can obtain and review your data at any time
  • Share: You can share your data with any third party located in the EU

These rights apply only to basic, raw data from your vehicle usage, such as vehicle performance. They do not cover insights, analysis, or new data we create based on your information. The Data Act excludes all processed or derived data.

When sharing data with a third party, keep these points in mind:

  • The recipient must be located within the EU
  • You should trust the person or organization receiving your data
  • It is advisable to set up an agreement about how they will use your data
  • Under the law, we may charge the third party for direct data transfer
